CEO Renee Appel Mattson is a veteran of the hospitality industry, starting her career at the age of 14 as a dish washer.
That early introduction to the world of tourism and hospitality was the foundation of a career in project management, sales, economic development, event planning and logistical support.
With three decades of experience ranging from a destination marketing organization in sales and operations, event production, and management and expansion of an urban ski resort; Renee has depth of knowledge and understanding of what is necessary to help move a project from an idea to successful completion.
Renee is an active volunteer in her community of Duluth, Minnesota and believes strongly that giving time and energy to help others is an important outreach.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Ellen has worked for convention and visitor bureaus, hotels and began her career as a manager of special events for a national aviation association in Washington, DC. As a sales manager for the Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Director of Sales for the Juneau Convention and Visitors Bureau, Ellen helped clients secure traditional or unique optional meetings venue for their functions.
